Summer fun cards

Lisa D. from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles is this month's
Featured Artist in the Through The Craftroom Door Magazine.

She created a brand new digital kit to mark the occasion and asked several
of her crafting buddies to help out by creating samples for the July/August edition!

We've all come together to celebrate this event by bringing you a blog hop
featuring projects made with items from Lisa's brand new digital kit called...

 A TASTE OF SUMMER

If you are arriving here from Susan's blog, you are right on track!
If you are just starting, you can find a full list of all the hop stops at the bottom of this post.

To kick off the event, Lisa is providing a free summer themed
word art creation that you can find on her blog.
Comment at EACH stop along the hop for your chance to win
the full digital kit as shown in the preview above.
One lucky person will also have the chance to win a
1 year subscription to the TTCRD Magazine!
Please be sure to head to Lisa's blog to read the full details
on how to qualify for both of these prizes!

For a chance at winning the Brads, Buttons & Bows section of this kit...

Simply leave a comment on this post and be a follower of my blog!

You have until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 8th, to submit your
comments for a chance to win one of the above mentioned prizes.

For my stop along the hop, I am excited to share the project I created for the magazine.
Check it out:

This first card, I used a SIL cut file and filled the shapes in with her digital papers.  I love the texture of this set. The colors are so pretty together I think too.
I cut the 2 starfish (well, my Cameo cut them for me) to add some dimension to the card along with the small bling gem for the sun.

This next card I created the rectangles and squares using my SIL program, filling them with the digital papers and the elements.  I printed it all as one piece so it's a nice flat card for mailing. I added crystal effects to the glasses and waves tips and a scribble across the sun, adding glitter to the waves and sun.
I think this one is pretty cool, I again layered everything using my SIL program and printed it as one piece.

I like how the clouds are just peeking in from the edges and the fish are coming up to see who's diving in..  I added crystal effects to the fins and the water splash.

Next stop on the blog hop route is Pippa's blog.  Click HERE to head there now!

If you miss any of the stops along the way, here is the complete list. You are definitely going to want to check out what my fellow hoppers have in store for you:

Wow! I love these/ I am not very savvy when it comes to pulling things together digitally. I need to work on that. I just love how it all prints as one piece. That's amazing!
